A lifelong music lover, Dave enjoys a wide range of classic bands ranging from The Beatles, Eagles, XTC, Pink Floyd and REM, to more contemporary bands such as The Strokes, Pixies and The Cure. In the 80s and 90s Dave played in several indie bands such as The Novelists and The Shivers around inner Melbourne. After a break from music and focusing on work and family, he is back playing those tasty bass licks again and his sophisticated and powerful playing style compliments the StringRays and their passion for perfection.
He is also grateful to his daughter for teaching him that there is still a lot of great music coming out today, recently being possibly the oldest audience member at a Spacey Jane gig!
